If you really want to see some nice artwork within the horticultural framework, you should look at the multitude of designs in topiary. The people that are involved in developing these beautiful pieces of art not only have talent but they have patience to make their ideas work and look outstanding. The art of producing bonsai trees is a great example and has always caught the eyes of admirers. Lots of topiary is developed using cedar pine trees and also hedges. These designs are used to beautify landscapes and interior designs almost anywhere you travel.

To develop these pieces of art takes lots of time and, unfortunately, the vast majority of us don’t have that time to dedicate to the production of these fine pieces. Now that does not say we can’t enjoy them or even have these topiaries in our landscapes or our interior decors. Silk topiaries are available to beautify our homes and workplaces without having to worry about keeping them trimmed, not to mention keeping them alive and well. Silk topiary trees are available in several different types of trees and also in many sizes. These silk topiaries will last for many years and share their beauty over that same period. For outdoor and also indoor decorating with style, you cannot go wrong with these silk tree topiaries from silk bonsai trees to the great looking silk cedar pine topiaries.

There are very few in this world that don’t have some kind of barbecue pit or cooking device on the patio. This just comes along with summer and fun relaxing evenings or weekend family gatherings. Being able to get together with others helps build friendships and an invite to their next barbecue. Beside the barbecue, a chair or two, and maybe a table, to set the wonderful grubs on, it would be an added bonus to have some nice plants that would add to the atmosphere. Plants will just make it a bit more homey and that is good.

For some decorative plants that will not be more work and will last for a long time, consider getting some of the outstanding silk plants and silk trees. There are many silk plants that are made to be outdoors such as silk topiary trees and many other silk plants that, if a little protected, will last a long time on a covered patio. Dressing up the patio will make the gathering so much better; and the relaxing capabilities of these silk plants will make it hard to keep dad awake in his hammock after the dinner. By adding hanging silk flowers, you can also save on floor space and the great color adorn the décor.

Silk Topiaries Helping The Winter Home Landscaping

As my uncle experienced when he lived in a condo in Colorado and had his winter home in Arizona, it was hard to keep up with the landscaping and interior plant décor. In Arizona, he did have the landscaping but for those of you that know Arizona’s desert flora, he didn’t have a hard time because he (in his words) smartened up and used artificial plants.

He was used to doing that on the interior in both places, but when he found that there were such beautiful silk topiaries, he put several around the front of his little cottage and 3 or 4 at the back patio. Four of the silk topiaries were put into nice urns and the others were planted right into the ground and you couldn’t tell that they were artificial at all. This gave him peace of mind knowing they would be there when he would return the next year and they would be in good shape. The back patio was his favorite place to sit in the evening. To add a little color, he used a couple of hanging silk flowers for an added touch of elegance. As he would say, I want to save money while looking good doing it and the silk plants sure do the job.

Decorating The Outside With Silk Plants And Silk Trees

When it comes to using silk plants and silk flowers outside there are certain things you should consider. If the silk plants are made for outdoors use you don’t have to worry; but if they are not, ask yourself the following question. How much sunlight does the area get? If there is lots of sunlight, most likely there will be fading of colors over time and the greenery foliage can fade faster. You should consider getting some UV protector to spray on the plants to help them last longer. Does the wind come through at times pretty strong? If it does you might be wise to use some plaster in a half-gallon container for bushes that are 3 feet and under before putting it in the ground. For bushes or trees that are taller, use a one gallon container.

There are many outdoor silk topiaries look so real that people have to feel them to make sure of what they are looking at. You can plant these in a nice terra cotta planter and even add around the base some nice ivy or small green silk plants to add a touch of elegance. These silk plants go well on the patios and by the pools or waterfalls. You can do a grouping of different sized silk topiary trees with the added plants at the bases and have a beautiful masterpiece. Using this type of outdoor décor, you will have a very low maintenance and save quite a bit of money over a period of many years.

Think Like a Florist

Florists know that floral arrangements are meant to catch the eye and hold a person’s attention. This end can be achieved by selecting complementary colors and types of flowers that blend nicely together. While a diverse selection of blossoms makes things interesting, you can take your silk floral arrangements to the next level by shaping them in creative ways.

The two most popular arrangements are undoubtedly circular and arc, both of which are also staples of silk topiaries. The circular shape requires a dense array of blossoms sprouting out from all angles of the arrangement, whereas the arc features flowers that are fanned out to emphasize width. If you really want to create some off-the-wall designs, try an asymmetrical pattern. You could mold the flowers into a curve or even a triangular shape – both of which are sure to attract attention.

Decorating The Entry Way Of A Larger Building

The importance of having the entryway look presentable to the people that enter the doorways is that it is a very welcoming sight and speaks volumes about the owners of the facility. Most entryways have lots of concrete and/or steps making the need for planters or larger containers to put such items as evergreen trees or larger plants. In planning the decorations of the entry, you need to have a maintenance plan in place to keep the plants in top-notch condition; and the area clean; and sometimes when dealing with live plants, it can be more intense on people for the upkeep.

Taking in consideration this maintenance, along with the overall maintenance program, you want to be cost effective and not have wasted expense draining the budget. In lots of cases when the budget has to be cut to some degree, there can be an effect on your customers. Don’t cut down the trees but look for ways to improve those decorations. One way to solve and cut expenses in this area is to install artificial plants such as silk topiary trees. The maintenance program is a fraction of what it cost to take care of live plants and will last for several years with elegance and beauty. Bugs will not eat the silk plants and besides not needing water, you won’t need to keep trimming the silk topiaries. It just makes so much sense and gives the people entering the building a warm welcome.

Getting A Little More Time To Relax Because Of Silk Plants

In today’s world, we have become so busy with work, church, home, children and their school activities that very little time is left to turn around. At home we have many things there that can keep us busy with just the general housework not to mention taking care of the yard, (yes, front and back) and doing repair upkeep because we want everything to be in decent shape. When we bought the home, we got it with the pool because that was going to be a place where we could relax in our own little kingdom. The main thing the pool did for us was to add more chores on the list and less time to relax.

Taking care of the yard and the plants also takes lots of time and if we don’t do that, more leave etc. will end up in the pool. So to help with that part, we switched some of the plants around the pool area to some nice silk topiary trees. Our family thought that the silk topiaries looked so nice and even after almost two years, they are looking and doing great. That move there helped to cut down maintenance time in the back; and this year I am going to take care of the front with some other silk plants like those in the back.  I had put a couple of  hanging silk plants on the patio and I have two places on the front porch that will be good to put that except I think I will get hanging silk flowers this time.  I can switch them back and forth and I like that idea.  If you want to cut back on your chores at home, that is one way you can do it.

Many people have seen and really like the topiary trees; and wonder how they get their shape because is it hard to keep them looking fresh cut and in good condition. Well, it does take a bit of work and time to trim down a live tree. It also takes maintenance on a regular basis to keep them in that condition. If you have the time, that is great; but if you are like most people, your time is consumed with work, children, church and other obligations, leaving you with very little time, if any, for anything else. If that is the case, it is suggested for you to look into the silk topiaries that are available.

The advantage of the silk topiary over the live ones is that in most cases, it is very favorable to make the move to the silk topiaries. To give you an idea of what those advantages are, I will list a few. You can get the silk topiary trimmed the way you want it and it will stay that way. The live topiary will have to be trimmed again and again. You won’t have to pick up fallen or dead leaves from the silk topiary trees and you won’t have to worry about the insects that are attracted to the live stuff. Of course you will also be free of having to water or provide plant food, etc. We know there are a few more advantages, but we will just say that these silk plants can be moved anywhere you want and will last for many years to enhance your décor the way you want.
