Completing The Décor With Silk Plants

When it comes to using plants of any kind, you need to consider several things to make it a success. Things to consider are (1) size (2) color (3) fullness (4) live or artificial. Overall, the big question is: do you want to maintain plants every week or do you want the elegant touch of plants without that weekly grind? If it is the latter, silk plants will give you long and beautiful service. For a kitchen table: silk floral arrangements around a foot-and-a-half size with bright colors normally work very well. Above cabinets: a silk variegated green mixed with solids can give an elegant touch.

In other rooms, such as family or living rooms, for a corner, you should consider silk trees that come within about 2 feet of the ceiling; and depending on what else you have close to that corner will determine the width that can be used. Silk floor plants in the sizes of 42” to 56” can be used next to a chair or nick-knack display piece. When using silk flower arrangements, be sure to use colors that will compliment other colors in the room. Your décor should have a smooth flow and a comfortable relaxing feeling to it.

Most everyone knows that it is important to decorate our surroundings if, for nothing else, but to make one’s self fell a little better even if we are by our selves. When we have others around, then we need to take in those considerations and do something that makes them feel comfortable also. That is important at home, but when it comes to decorating, let’s say, in a nice restaurant or a hotel lobby, it becomes much more important due to trying to make so many more people feel comfortable. Some nice cut flowers set in water gives a nice setting and, of course, other kinds of plants sure can help. The only thing to this kind of decorating is that it can get a little expensive when you are replacing those cut flowers weekend and week out.

I might suggest that you take a close look at using artificial flowers and if the needs are there, also look at silk plants and silk trees. Within most nice restaurants or most hotel lobby’s, there are many areas that the use of silk plants and silk trees can be utilized. Getting back to the cut flower setting, in water can also be a job for the silk flower decorator. Well the silk flowers won’t be sitting in water but will be sitting in a clear acrylic that looks like water. Now we are not trying to make fools of anyone! We are just trying to give the person that is trying to decorate their business location a way to save money and still having a way to decorate in a beautiful and elegant way. There are many types of flowers available in the artificial water arrangements. We encourage you to take a look at the beautiful artificial water flower arrangements and, at the same time, save money on your décor.

Now if I have ever heard of a smart decorating idea, it is using the clear acrylic in a glass vase or container with some realistic silk flowers making people think that the flowers are real and sitting in water. It is amazing how many people bend over and smell or at least reach out and touch those silk flower arrangements to see if they are real.

There are truly some very nice arrangements in many different sizes and shapes with a true feeling of the tropics and other wonderful places that we might have visited or want to visit in our lifetime. Now, these beautiful silk floral centerpieces are not just for the home decorating, but they are a very good choice for the business owners to give a nice relaxing feeling to their décor. I had to go get a blood test done and the medical clinic where I went had a wonderful silk orchid arrangement with the acrylic (water) sitting on the counter. As I was waiting my turn, a couple of people were talking about that arrangement and how they at first thought it was real and took their turn in smelling it. It was a touch of elegance and it did its part in helping people relax during a time that they really didn’t want to be at this medical clinic.

Do you want to add a nice touch of elegance your home or even your office? It can be done very easily and it will also give a very relaxing atmosphere to any room. I don’t know of very many people that don’t enjoy flowers. When they are added to the décor of an office or home, it will give each person who enters a warm homey feeling. Using live flowers for an arrangements or centerpiece is a wonderful idea. It will look great for about a week or maybe two weeks and then it is pretty much gone the way most live flora goes.

To avoid this problem, can we suggest using silk flowers! They will last and look beautiful for a very long time. An excellent silk flower to use would be the Calla Lily. This elegant flower is available in what is called the “real touch” silk flower and for sure you have to touch it to make sure that it is not real. You can make beautiful silk floral centerpieces with just two or three of these outstanding silk flowers. They should be available at some of your better retail florists. They are also available on line. Remember “real touch” silk flowers are also available in roses, tiger lilies and many others.

Decorating The Home With Silk Plants

It is so wonderful to be able to walk through a park area that has some nice flowerbeds with lots of blooming wonderfully colored flowers. There are many different species of flowers with large and small blossoms. If you don’t have allergies the smell of the blossoms also are a nice experience. The time enjoying the natural sight of blossoming flowers will relax you and you can find new strength to take on the next task for that day.

This is why it is a good thing to decorate our homes with flowers, plants and trees if space allows. The only thing with this in our homes is that we have to be the one to maintain and pick-up the dying leaves and repotting the complete plant when it dies. This can add up to lots of time and money over the years. A great alternative to the live flora is to decorate our homes with the very realistic silk plants, silk flowers and silk trees. You will find that this will be a great decorating idea and it will save you money and time along with giving you that same relaxing experience you had out in the park. Finding a good quality silk flower store on line is not that hard and it will have a very wide selection to choose from.

Enjoy Your Plants Without the Hassle

My mother is getting to the point in an elderly person’s life when some seemingly simple tasks take on a Herculean level of difficulty and bother. It’s a bit funny, really. She doesn’t drive anymore, but she still gets dressed up for church each week and faithfully attends her Audubon Society meetings. Still, it’s up to me and my other siblings who still live in the area to take care of chores around her house.

She likes to keep her home furnished with plenty of potted plants, as they offset the white walls and make the house feel more inviting. Unfortunately, the task of pruning and picking up dead leaves from the floor often falls to me. That’s when I struck upon an ingenious plan: I would buy her a few silk flowering trees. Cleaning silk plants is a snap – there’s no trimming or bending down required.

Lovely Centerpieces

I often host dinner parties at my home and there’s nothing better than serving dinner on a beautifully decorated table. When I have guests over, I like to use one of my fancy tablecloths and display a centerpiece of flowers. Unfortunately, since the economy has been so bad lately my husband lost his job.

Because of this, I have had to scale back my decorating tastes. No more fresh flowers every week. As a trade off, I have started using silk flowers. I simply set up my table like usual and replace the fresh flowers with silk flower centerpieces. The silk flowers are just as pretty as the real ones and they last a heck of a lot longer.

It’s All About the Planning

If you know you’re hosting a big party such as a wedding reception or large family dinner, it can be extremely stressful. Especially if you’re in charge of the food, cleaning, and presentation, it can simply feel like too much work for one person to accomplish. If you’re in the midst of this kind of stressful planning job, know that the key to pulling off a successful event is all about the planning. Do as much as you can early, and you’ll be in much better shape.

With that in mind, make sure all purchases are made far in advance. Get everything polished and scrubbed a week before the big date, so you’re not up the night before until 2 am trying to make those last silver forks gleam. Ideally, everything should be completed well in advance, except of course the food. The night before the party, the only thing you should be doing is the finishing touches on a cake or putting together the lasagna. One tip that many frazzled hosts and hostesses overlook is the benefit of silk plants. You can pick them up anytime, they last forever, and a silk flower arrangements or plants on every table will imbue your house with elegance and beauty.

Greenery Can Help The Atmosphere

A desirable atmosphere is a very important step to beautifying your home or office. Using a good blend of colors, styles, textures, and furniture pieces creates this atmosphere. When using more natural tones and textures in your decorating, greenery is important if you want to give good life to the room. When adding greenery you should also be aware of the sunlight that will help nurture the live flora. Most plants and or trees do require a certain amount of the wonderful sun except when using silk or artificial plants and trees. Then you have no problem with needing sunlight.

Plan out the areas that you are going to put the greenery and then you can make a better decision on the shapes and styles to adorn your décor. One of the good things about using silk plants is that you can arrange the plant just a little differently to make it work for the area. A smaller silk tabletop tree such as a bonsai tree can work very nicely. Also, by using silk plants or silk flowers you cut down the possibility of spilling water on the valued furniture. You want to have a great atmosphere and décor so don’t get away from the good quality and realistic choices of silk plants and silk trees. Have fun on your project!

Many people would make their fist choice to have living flora, but with the cost of them coupled with how long they last, they are making a switch. What are they switching to? Yes, they are going to artificial flowers, silk plants and silk trees.

With the world of artificial or commonly known as “silk” flowers they do serve people’s needs. When you can cut the cost of decorating with silk flowers and have them last so long, you have two great reasons to switch. There are other reasons also and they can include not creating a problem with allergies which are a great problem, and we don’t have to worry about mold or mildew or those wiggly, crawly, multi-legged insects that are attracted to the live plants. Now there you go with just a few choices for why people change to the beautiful silk plant world.
