Silk Floral Wreaths For Interior And Exterior Decor

A beautiful and elegant silk floral wreath can be a beautiful welcoming item when your guest walks up to the front door. The guest will believe, at least, for a little bit of time that it is made from the real stuff until they either touch it or you tell them that it is an artificial wreath. Silk floral wreaths can be changed with the seasons and keep your front entry decorated for that particular time of year.

Seasonal silk wreaths are able to withstand all types of weather conditions and last for several years with minimal maintenance. Silk wreaths are not only for the outdoors but can add a excellent touch to the décor, such as on a mirror or laying flat on the dining room table with a pillar candle sitting in the middle. Made of hypoallergenic materials, you will not have to worry about red noses and the sneezes for you or your guest.

Lighting Up The Dining Room Table For Easter

Easter is a bright and cheery holiday with all the ladies out in the bright colored Easter dresses and bonnets with flowers and ribbons. The children are looking forward to going out and finding the Easter eggs that you worked so hard to dye and hide. Yes, it is a great and busy day and you want a dinner that will match the rest of the day. First of all, you should set the mood with your dining room décor and that is not as hard to do as you might think.

All you need is some brightly colored flowers and a candle or two for the dining room table decorations. If you use live flora, the flowers will only last a few days and time and cost should be a consideration. I have seen a silk wreath used with a candle set in the middle, which was nice, and with some bright colored silk flowers. Another very a nice decoration was found in silk floral candleholders, which had a candle inside hurricane glass and again, brightly colored silk flowers setting a wonderful mood. Happy decorating and happy Easter!

Silk Wreaths Are Good Anytime Of the Year

It is true that when we first think of the word “wreath” we think of the Christmas holiday. Lots of people put up those wreaths of cheer for the holidays. If it is good for the holiday, why can’t we replace the pine and red bow type wreath with other silk wreaths for other season(s)? That wall or entry way can carry the cheer of spring as well as the Christmas cheer.

There are many colors, sizes and styles available and more wreaths are being used as wall hangings instead of pictures because of the dimensional look they give. You are bound to find beautiful silk floral wreaths that will show elegance and great presence of cheer to the décor. Wreaths come with berries, flowers, leaves, and feathers that will make a wonderful statement to any décor.

A Mirror Can Make A Decorating Difference

n-4663-wh1What a jolly time of the year! And a time that we sometimes feel like we don’t want it, yet when we get into the real meaning of being with family, we would not want to be without the holiday season. The part that helps us get that much needed spirit going is the decorating of our homes. We really do enjoy this part even though it is a little more work but it is well worth the time.

We bring out our decorations that we stored and find that they are still in great shape and ready to lift our spirits with their presence. I am sure glad they came up with the silk holiday floral and, of course, improved on them so much. One of the items that we are going to decorate this year is a large mirror hanging in the dining room. We think that with some simple silk garland, with color put around the outside of the mirror and a 20″ silk wreath put in the middle, that it will add a nice touch for our holiday dinner. It is the simple things in life that make some of the bigger differences. Have a great holiday season!

Stave off Cabin Fever with Silk Flowers

About the only good thing I have to say about mid November is that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Here in the Midwest, the weather has begun its annual deterioration from brisk temperatures to downright chilly ones. With very little incentive to be outside, it’s nice to be able to spruce up the interior of the home. For me, it’s just a matter of selecting the appropriate flowers.

The trouble with traditional flower arrangements is that they are outrageously expensive this time of year, and that they are so ephemeral. In a matter of days or weeks at the most, a fine assortment of flowers can wilt into a pathetic picture of droopiness. The only logical substitute, then, comes in the form of silk floral wreaths. These wreaths provide the color and vivacity that a home is sometimes missing in the winter.

Poinesttia w/Glass Vase Silk Flower Arrangement

One of the greatest joys over the recent years and something that I will remember for many more years is the excitement my mother showed when she received a flower arrangement. Like most folks in their older years and in a convalescent home they don’t have much and they are so thrilled and excited when they do have a loved one or anyone for that matter, remember them with a gift.
Having the privilege to look after my dear mother was something I looked forward to because I lived about two thousand miles away, and every six weeks I would fly back to spend a week with her. We were very lucky to also have some friends that would see to her needs and visit on a daily bases. Every once in awhile one of them would bring in a single flower and would put it in a tiny vase and this was one of mom’s special moments.
The holidays are so special for families to spend time together and yet the residents of the convalescent homes are much of the time forgotten. We are so busy in our daily lives that we feel that we don’t have the time, but please take 10 to 20 min out and visit someone in a home. A great idea is to show some love with a holiday silk Poinsettia arrangement. Keep the arrangement small and simple and watch the love it brings. Silk poinsettias are allowed in these homes where/as the live ones are not; and silk will last for many years. Another great idea is to share some love by giving a silk wreath to put on their wall and this doesn’t have to be only during the holidays either. The great thing about silk plants is that they will last and look so real for many years; you can get two or three different ones and rotate them among your older loved ones who are in a home.

Timely Décor for Harvest Season

Wreaths are most commonly associated with the winter holidays, when people make their own decorations using evergreen boughs and berries for added color. But there’s no reason to limit one’s enjoyment of wreaths to a few months at the very end of the year. With fall already in full swing, there’s no better time to decorate the home for harvest time and Thanksgiving – and that means a whole new variety of silk wreaths.

Harvest wreaths feature all of the hallmarks of autumn’s natural splendor – the orange and amber leaves, gourds and miniature pumpkins. They make a handsome adornment for an exterior door, acting as a sign of welcome and goodwill for friends and family members. The silk version of these wreaths can be stored for use year after year.
