Spruce Up Your Living Space

silk-ficus-treeIf your living room has taken on an austere, sterile feeling of late, you should consider sprucing things up a bit. In recent years, white space has been trumpeted as an effective design element, but it only works when interesting decorative touches set up a contrast. Vases, paintings and other pieces of art will help you achieve the desired effect, but they won’t take you all the way.

A silk ficus tree can add the illusion of life and vitality to the room even though it requires no maintenance whatsoever. Whereas genuine potted plants need to be watered on a daily basis, their silk counterparts are exceedingly low-maintenance. The other downfall of real plants is that they wither and die in parts, leaving unsightly patches of brown leaves and other debris in their wake.
