Many people would make their fist choice to have living flora, but with the cost of them coupled with how long they last, they are making a switch. What are they switching to? Yes, they are going to artificial flowers, silk plants and silk trees.

With the world of artificial or commonly known as “silk” flowers they do serve people’s needs. When you can cut the cost of decorating with silk flowers and have them last so long, you have two great reasons to switch. There are other reasons also and they can include not creating a problem with allergies which are a great problem, and we don’t have to worry about mold or mildew or those wiggly, crawly, multi-legged insects that are attracted to the live plants. Now there you go with just a few choices for why people change to the beautiful silk plant world.

Yes, this is one area that sometimes seems impossible to decorate and can drive you nuts. Don’t ignore them because there is a solution. Most people will just put a table in the corner, leaving lots of blank space and it just doesn’t seem finished.

A great way to bring this corner in with the rest of your décor is to add a hanging silk flower above that table which should have, maybe, a couple of nice family pictures. With the hanging silk flowers you can also decorate your office space. If you have lots of color, you can also add hanging silk ivies to finish the corner. There are other ways to take care of the corners, so just don’t ignore it.

Brighten Up Your Home Office With Silk!

n-4308-or-whThis is really not hard to do, but lots of people just don’t realize how much of a difference silk plants can make in the office. With plants being around, it just makes us feel more relaxed and will help us get more work done without being all tensed up.

Most offices are limited on space, so we want to use that space very wisely. A smaller silk plant can fit on the corner of the desk adding a great deal to the décor. By choosing the color of a nice silk flower plant it will be good to match some other colors that you might have in chairs, etc. There are orchids in silk flowers and are small, but they still have great impact on the décor. Bring your office décor to life.

Showing Sympathy With Artificial Flowers

If this were a perfect world, we wouldn’t have to be dealing with death. When we lose a loved one, we always think of the good things about their lives and share with others the joys that we had over the years. There are also the times that we are unable to attend the funeral or memorial services and we do want to show our support in the time of need to the bereaved family.

When funeral flowers are chosen, we need to do it with care and by contacting a florist or the cemetery. They will be able to be a big help with the proper floral remembrance. Silk flower arrangements are a very nice way of expressing your thoughts; and the family will be able to keep the arrangement for many years having fond memories of your thoughtfulness. Colors that best fit the occasion in silk flowers are white, yellow and pink with green foliage always being fine. You will be able to find a wide range of silk flowers to fit your budget.

The best part about silk funeral flowers is that they are totally pollen free and will also never have those little crawlies, unlike some natural flowers. They are hypoallergenic and will never give those sensitive people a case of spring fever and the sneezing. So the next time you need to go to a funeral or service, opt for artificial plants or silk flower arrangements. They will convey the same sympathy and concern as natural flowers, but will have the advantage of lasting longer by not fading away.

n-1052-whArtificial bouquets are also known by several other names, such as fake, artificial, silk and silk flowers. However you refer to them, they are just down right real looking and they will fit so many occasions. It really doesn’t make any difference what type of flowers you like; they are available in silk no matter the time of year.

When choosing your bouquet or silk flower arrangement you need to consider the personality that it will bring to your décor. Colors are very important and will enhance other areas of your décor. Also consider the occasion and the setting and if it is a gift you are sending, consider their preferences. There are lots of silk flower arrangements out there and you will find several that will work in your own situation.

Adding The Fragrance Of Flowers To Home And Office

n-4505-wh1Many people like to have the fragrance of some nice flowers in their homes and work places, which for some is a very nice touch. There are some pros and cons with this and we all need to be aware of them.

The first thing that comes to mind in the cons is that the cost of replacing the fresh cut flowers can run up a amount that could be quit high. On an average you would be replacing those nice smelling flowers about every week. The next thing is that you will need to care for those flowers during that week which involves watering and trimming or picking up fallen leaves and pedals. There is also a chance of spilling water on the tables etc.

The good thing is that for the first part of that week they are giving out a great smell for those that enjoy that sort of thing and, of course, they look very nice during that time. Almost everyone enjoys looking at pretty plants but there are also many that can’t be around them due to allergy problems.

To solve that problem, there is the great alternate “silk flowers”. Many people can’t tell that they are artificial plants until they touch them. By using silk plants or silk flower arrangements, you have solved the cons on the above issue. Oops! What about the nice smell that some like? You can add a drop of scent in the center of any flowers but just make sure that you don’t make a bad day for someone’s allergies. Their allergies are real and we can help them with the fake “silk flowers”. Happy smells for those that can handle it.

The Next Best Thing to a Hawaiian Vacation

I’ve always been jealous of people living in tropical climates. It really does seem that their whole way of life is more relaxed and low-key. I can’t help but think of Hawaii every time I’m elbowing my way through a huge crowd to catch my subway train to work. Of course living on a tropical isle would present an entire spate of unique problems, but it’s the idea of carefree beach living that really appeals to me.

I figure that since I’ll probably never own beachfront property on a desert island, I’d might as well decorate my home in a way that recalls that worry-free lifestyle. I’ve done everything short of learning to play the ukulele, including my purchase of a silk palm tree. I can easily envision the luxurious, green branches swaying softly in a tropical breeze – even if it’s actually my central heating that’s rustling the leaves.

Silk Plants For The Outside

n-5160-whThere are silk plants for the inside and silk plants for the outside and not all silk plants can go either place. Now, we want to say, that to make the silk plants last longer and look good for that time, you should follow what is recommended.

The indoor/outdoor silk topiary can go either place and by following the recommended cleaning and care they will last a lot longer. Most of the silk flowers, silk plants and silk trees will last a very long time inside with the proper care. If you do put any of the silk plants, silk flowers or silk trees in the direct sunlight, they can fade over time. I have a few plants that are just about 20 years old and are still looking very good for their age. The only problem with those 20-year-old silk plants is that they don’t look the same as those produced today. Treat your silk flora with care and they will last you for many years.

What Kind Of Trunks Should I Consider In Artificial Trees?

n-5047-whThere may be a few things to consider when you are thinking of decorating your office or home with what is called silk trees, artificial trees or fake trees. Of course, you have to be aware of what size area you have to fill and whether it will fit with the furniture. Consider what type of décor you have and whether the silk tree will fit that theme. Have we given a thought to what type of trunk or branches should we use? That is something that should be addressed to help the final outcome of your décor.

With the synthetic or artificial trunks, you will be able to do a little shaping to a limited degree. With the natural wood trunks you, of course, will not be able to do that except with the stems of the leaves that are used in the construction of the silk trees. Above all, with any shaping, make it look natural for that species of a tree. With the artificial trunks you can spread it out or make them a little narrower; but with the real trunks, you have what you got. Some people like the look of the real or natural wood trunks and others go for the synthetic. What works for you and your decorating needs may be different than for someone else but have fun with making your décor complete.

Are You Looking To Add Plant Décor To Your Office Or Home?

n-6573-0311-whThere are many sources that have lots of recommendations on how to accomplish this undertaking so you can save time and money. Most of the recommendations are saying to use artificial (silk) plants for these projects because of the realism that exist in the products available today. Not only can the cost of these silk plants be broken down over several years making them very affordable, but they are also very low maintenance.

With the materials and processes used in today production, they have come up with what they call “real touch” silk plants. I have heard many people say that they just couldn’t believe that they were artificial, not only because of the touch but the look they have. With these options available and the need for most of us to be spending our time on more important things, this is a real godsend. You should be able to purchase these at a good florist; or a crafts store may also carry them. They are available on the internet and you should find a good place with quality and service. Look into the possibilities that “real touch” silk plants may have for you and for your decorating with artificial flora.
