Hanging Silk Flowers Make the Patio Come To Life!!

Do you want to dress up your back patio so that when you have guests over they see maybe a little more color? So much of the time when we have live plants on the patio we find stains where the water has dripped after watering the plants. That doesn’t lend a hand to looking good. Also, we can end up with insects flying and crawling around not that far from our doorway. We don’t want those little guys in the house. Please note that the silk plants and silk flowers will give you many years of service without the insects.

Adding color to the patio can be done very easily by using hanging silk flowers. Your patio will give some protection from the weather and the sun and that helps these beauties last several years. There are several kinds of silk flowers that come in the hanging baskets and have a realism that is unmatched. Along with this color plash that you are adding with the hanging silk flowers, you can also have some medium size silk plants that have some very nice greenery which is a nice addition to the décor. Many of these plants are made for the indoor/outdoor use and will make your patio a fun place to spend your time with friends and family.

Very Little Area for Silk Plant Décor….

I stopped by a friend’s place of business a week or two ago and as we were chatting I noticed that there was no plants in his show room or office area. I asked him why he didn’t have something there to help with the atmosphere and the décor. His comment back was that there is just no room or he would have something there but it would also have to be self-growing without much maintenance. After a further look, I do understand that space in the office can sometimes be very valuable.

I did notice that he had two areas that could be used and that was over his filing cabinets and in a corner by his front windows. I mentioned those spaces and said a hanging plant would look good there and as far as low maintenance, you can find hanging silk plants or hanging silk flowers. He mentioned this to others in his office and they thought it was a great idea and it would really help the décor. In your office, you may have the same type of problem and I suggest you take a look at silk plants and their options to help with a décor makeover.

Decorated Tables For A Group Sweethearts Dinner

When you are going to be involved in planning or supplying part of the decorations for a group function such as a nice sweethearts dinner, don’t forget to have some nice but simple table decorations. There was one person that I knew of that was involved in several church functions such as dinners, birthday parties, and anniversary celebrations; and that person was my mother. She was very thrifty in what she did for table decorations but it was always a hit with the group. You could count on the fact that whatever she got for decorations, they could be used again; and with just a little thought, they would look very different.

The use of silk flowers and silk flower arrangements were some of her favorite items because they were so easily taken care of and looked so real and nice. By just changing maybe a ribbon or something that the plant might be sitting on or next to, it would give a brand new and refreshing look to the tables. I heard many stories of how she so enjoyed doing this for her friends; and the friends were never disappointed. Silk flower arrangements can lend a good splash of color with some of the people thinking that they were live plants. As time went on and she was unable to take care of the décor, her group had two people take over that project and said they had learned most of their decorating skills from my dear mom. We love her and miss her.

Whether you may be just moving in to a new home or are in the process of making a few changes in the décor of your existing home, you have many things to consider and do. Finding the right colors to blend together with the flooring, furniture, curtains and the paint on the walls and ceiling is a really big task; but when it is all tied together it is just a really satisfying feeling. One of the items that are being used to help tie the décor together is the use of artificial flora.

We are seeing such beautiful silk plants and silk flowers being produced today and looking almost more real than the real. It is very pleasant to come into a room and feel the warmth of the full décor and with the silk plants, silk trees and silk flower arrangements helping to tie everything else together. We understand that some people have had a problem in accepting these silks in the past. We are now seeing these people that would stick out their tongue and wrinkle their nose at them are now opening their arms and finding out that they are a real life saver not to mention a money saver. The placement of silk flower arrangements, silk plants and even a silk tree or two is becoming the norm in home decorating.

Decorating a space is always a challenge. The professional interior decorator will labor over his plan for weeks, in the same way that a newlywed will pore over piles of magazines. You want a touch of nature among your glass and metal fixtures. But there are places in the house where a live plant is impractical. For example, you want a tree in a corner in the living room but you know that watering it might damage the floor and bringing it in and out is a lot of work. This is when shopping for a silk tree provides the next best solution.

Artificial trees and plants are just as beautiful as the live one. Sometimes you cannot even tell the difference. Most stores carry a wide selection of artificial trees, plants, ferns and ivy. Crafted from quality materials, they are as elegant as silk. When incorporated with natural wood, they look as fresh as the one growing in your garden.

Cleaning Silk Plants Made Easy!!

When it comes to cleaning the home most of it is not too much of a problem but what about the silk plants that is providing such beautiful décor? It may seem to be a very tedious task, but it really doesn’t need to be. By using a good duster that keeps the dust from flying all over will be a good way to do the quick cleaning for those silk beauties. If the feather duster was one to help spread the dust, I would take the silk plants outside and do the job there. Another item you can use while outside is a hair dyer, but be sure to have it set on cool and the low setting. This method is also very good to use on the bigger items such as silk trees, etc.

The more thorough cleaning that is suggested is to do it about every six months. It is not a hard task either, but does take just a bit more time. Try taking a spray bottle with just a small amount of very mild soap and water. This will cut any grease that is holding the dust on and after the spraying, take another spray bottle with plain water and spray it to remove the soapy mixture. Shake the plant lightly to remove excess water and let it dry before putting it back in its place. Over all, it doesn’t take that much effort or time but it will keep those silk plants and silk flowers looking real and beautiful.

The Decorating and the Corner…

We had a corner that of the dining room that just needed a little help to finish a good and smooth look. We fought with this for a period of time and it really drove me a little nuts. Well if you knew me, you would know that is not a very long trip to go nuts!! Move this here and that over there and it just didn’t go with the paintings that were hung in that area. A hanging plant would not work due to it coming down too far and would interfere with the paintings.

A small table in that area just didn’t fit and a tree which I was thinking of just was just tall. I was sure that I wanted some kind of plant and knew that a live plant would be a dead plant too fast and also just more work than I want at this time. Yep, I really started looking for one of those “real touch” silk plants that is available in the silk plant world. I knew there was one out there that would serve the purpose and solve my needs. I found it in a smaller silk tree and just knew that that was the one. I placed it on order and in a short 5 days I received the beauty and it fit so nice and really gave a great addition to the décor. Finding a company online that I can depend on for quality and good fast service is a blessing and solves lots of problems. I hope that you have found an online service that makes you happy.

The Beautiful Bonsai Trees Takes Lots Of Work!!

I have always really liked the look of the Bonsai trees and knew that it must be a real art in producing them. In doing a little research I found that is does take quite a bit of time to prepare to even start one. Getting the right kind of tree and the right kind of pot, then you have to learn how to do the trimming to make it look like a Bonsai. One of the instructions that were listed on the internet was to join a Bonsai club. I was ok with all this a few years ago but with the economy going down hill…. Well you can understand why I backed off from it.

I did discover that I do have another choice and still have the opportunity to have one or three of the nice looking Bonsai trees. While looking on the internet I found that there are some very nice looking Bonsai trees and the cost is a lot less considering my time (that I don’t have) and the money to get one started. There are several kinds of silk trees and silk plants that are so real looking. Finding these silk bonsai trees and a few other silk plants has made adding to my décor very easy without having big maintenance on any of them over the next several years. Oh happy days.

Using Indoor/Outdoor Artificial Plants Around The Home…

The availability of indoor/outdoor artificial plants (also called silk plants) make the possibility of keeping these outdoors plants looking fresh and in good shape for a very long time. You won’t have the problem with insects or having to trim these silk topiaries, which gives you more time for other items on your list. These beautiful indoor/outdoor silk plants can be put into other decorative containers and placed around the front entry, on the patio, or pool and even will fit in some cases in the indoors.

UV inhibitors are infused into the silk plant to protect them from the sun’s harmful UV rays, which will keep the plant looking nice and green for a very long, long time. Modern techniques of producing such realism make it an option for planting some of these in the flowerbeds or areas by an entry. Putting this tree in a cement-anchored container will help it withstand some of the outdoor weather that comes along and keep it standing much better. We know that some people think this is a crazy thing to do, but many commercial places have been replacing many of their outdoor plants and trees with the artificial wonders that are now being produced and used. Silk topiaries are here to stay and more people are making use of them each day.

A Flicker Of Light In A Silk Flower Centerpiece…

When it comes to decorating we want to add something that is unique and will bring out the other surrounding decorations and have a real glow about it. The ability of getting a beautiful centerpiece for the table is found in several places and can be purchased without spending a fortune. If you go in the direction of getting a real flower centerpiece it will be a great looking item for at least 3 days and then it goes down hill with the dropping of peddles falling off or wilting. This can get expensive when replacing this centerpiece within a week or two.

The most cost effective centerpiece is made out of fabric and is known as silk flowers. There are some great looking silk flower centerpieces that have incorporated the use of a candle in a candelabrum that really adds a sparkling arrangement. This can also add to a beautiful romantic dinner that will make both parties happy; they have gotten that little flicker of light to help set the mood. Silk flower centerpieces can be elegant but add a candle or two and it really comes to life.
