Artificial Water Fools Many People At First

Quite some time ago, I had to go get some blood work done for my normal checkup and as I went up to the counter to get checked in and fill out the paper work, I noticed some flowers sitting in a clear glass vase with water in it and the color of the of the arrangement was very striking and elegant. I went over and sat down to fill out the paper work. After I got that taken care of, I took the completed paper work up to the desk and again looked at the flowers. After a closer inspection, I found to my surprise that they were silk flowers and the water that I thought was water was artificial water.

Since that time, I have seen several silk plants that were in the artificial water and I fell in love with that concept. Orchids are such an elegant and yet bold flower and the silk orchids capture that realism and is a great piece to add to any décor. There are several colors and, of course, several different varieties that look so real and vibrant. This story was shared with me by a close friend and yes, these silk orchids in artificial water are very real looking and are enjoyed by many people around the world.

It is so wonderful to see flowering plants in bloom, standing proud and beautiful. It does something to the majority of us when we take in the wonderful looks that Mother Nature has given to us. There is only one draw back to all these delightful plants and that is the nasty allergies that so many of us suffer from. I have never had that problem until this year and now I know what so many are complaining about. I enjoy flower arrangements but I love flowering plants such as the Phalaenopsis Orchids, Tiger Lily’s and the Geranium.

But we are unable to have these plants in our homes due to the runny noses and itchy eyes. We have found an unbelievable replacement so that we can enjoy and have these same plants decorating our décor in our home. We have heard many good comments about how real they look and what they add to our décor. I do have a couple of silk flower arrangements, but I have more flowering silk plants and potted ones like you would live plants. That is probably an added plus for realism. For us and so many other sufferers of the allergy problem, there is a wonderful way to enjoy and relax at home and that is with my favorite silk orchids and other silk flowering plants.

n-4318-lv-whThere are many different exotic flowers out there to choose from when considering a floral arrangement. Do you want a really full arrangement or a smaller delicate looking piece? Would larger flowers be good or should you go with the smaller ones? How long is the arrangement going to last?

The Bird of Paradise or the Heliconia Lobster Claw has both an exotic and a tropical flare while making up some very nice arrangements. I think I would like to go with a touch of a lighter feeling and the orchids are great for just that. I want something that is going to be elegant while complimenting the décor and that will last for a long time.

With that in mind, I would go with artificial orchids; and there are many types of silk orchids to choose from. Most of them can be found in craft stores and in some floral shops as well. The floral shops are dedicated to the art of the arranging exotic flowers including the beautiful silk orchid. Just to name a few, there is the Dancing Lady silk orchid, Phalaenopsis silk orchid and the Cattleya silk orchid. There are many more available. All of these have a light and delicate look to them and can be made up into great arrangements.

The beautiful live orchid plant is very delicate and requires lots of attention and time to survive. This is one reason that I like the silk flowers; and the realism is just plain outstanding. We have seen this in all aspects of the plant from the base roots, leaves and the stalks of this exotic plant to the exquisite flower. When put together in a simple but elegant arrangement, you will be able to enjoy the orchid in any kind of climate.

So, remember when you want an exotic and delicate look in a nice floral arrangement, it is hard to beat the elegant look of the orchids. Enjoy and have fun with your floral décor.

Artificial Plants In The Work Space

Pothos Hanging Basket

I have had over the past 20 years or more some kind of silk flowers in my office and it has made the workplace feel a little bit warmer, and in some way it sure helps me to relax in some degree. I’m not what you would call a real flower guy but I do know that when I have not had a plant there, my office just doesn’t seem to be together.

When you are looking for a plant for the office area, there are a couple things that you should keep in mind. Greenery is something that will go with any décor so there is not to much to worry about except maybe size. You don’t want to overwhelm the area and you also don’t need to take up area that you may need for workspace. I have a hanging ivy basket over a filing cabinet area, which is not in the way and it adds so much. The floor space is pretty much taken up so the only other area is on the corner of my desk and a small silk orchid fits just fine

If you have a customer waiting area, please don’t leave them out in the cold. Think of what kind of clientele you have and if you have more female clients maybe an extra silk flower arrangement or two wouldn’t be bad. Again you want to use your floor space wisely and don’t think for a minute that the silk floral décor is a waste. The properly shaped silk tree is very popular but again don’t overwhelm.

My personal feelings are that I want my complete décor to be comfortable feeling and my silk plants to be of good quality and the look of realism. I am real and I treat my customers with the best quality service and that is the whole idea. Your personality should be shown in all aspects of your business.
